Description
PT1000's are RTD temperature sensors like PT100’s but do not require an additional amplifier board, meaning they can be connected to your pre-existing temperature sensing pin using a 4.7k pullup resistance.
Im using this with my Ender 3 v2 in my V6 Hotend and its working perfectly. No issue whatsoever - which is rare in my experience as changing components always comes with teething problems.
The hemera extruder came with its stock thermistor, the stock (blue regular one).
In marlin config the code was then #define TEMP_SENSOR_1.
...Now with the pt1000 hooked up change... #define TEMP_SENSOR_1047
NOPE now with TWO yeah TWO thermistors have gone bad on me. works for a wee bit then suddenly says error on e1 ( first hotend) maxtemp. please reset machine.
I change back to #define TEMP_SENSOR_1 and try the stock thermistor AND the pt1000.
stock = all working... pt1000 = error on the nozzle graphic.
change back to 1047 and BOTH the stock AND the pt1000 give me that odd error.
This is after being told BY E3D to use 1047 in the code.
...so no not happy with this and some other products and kinda run around answers I have been getting from E3d on different product now over the last 3-9 months...
I'll update this and change the review if this properly finally get resolved, and decent pt1000 get stocked...
Hi Paul,
I can see that we have sent you a replacement PT1K, hopefully this one works perfectly for you.
Many thanks,
Georgia
What setting in firmware requires?
Within 1-2C from 20C-450C. cheaper than pt100 and requires no additional hardware, just a different setting in firmware.
