Description

These premium HotEnds are an official collaboration between E3D, DiamondBack, and Bambu Lab - bringing you the most extreme HotEnd solution to date. E3D are very proud to be the only officially approved manufacturer of aftermarket Bambu Lab HotEnds.

Why Choose Diamond?

The rapid development of fibre, metal and ceramic filaments has increased the need for abrasion-resistant nozzles. Compared with all the nozzle options on the market, DiamondBack’s diamonds deliver unmatched wear-resistance and versatility.

Smooth and Hard. Unlock extreme wear resistance on your Bambu Lab printer thanks to DiamondBack’s Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) tips. These diamonds are composed of thousands of tiny diamond crystals with a proprietary binder that forms a matrix of crystals joined with diamond-to-diamond bonds. They retain the hardness properties of diamond whilst reducing the inherent brittleness of a single-crystal diamond, making them a fantastic choice for printing with engineering grade metal and ceramic-filled filaments.

Precision Printing. DiamondBack nozzles rely on a solid diamond tip to improve precision 3D printing. The tip is not a diamond coating, but rather a solid diamond insert made from the hardest material in the world.

Longevity. The PCD used in these Bambu Lab HotEnds significantly extends nozzle life. It provides best-in-class thermal conductivity which improves interlayer adhesion for stronger prints, and the low coefficient of friction combined with a polished tip creates super smooth top layers with an ironing-like effect.

Effortless Upgrade. These HotEnds are a drop-in replacement for your stock Bambu Lab Hotend, no physical adjustment to the mount or part cooling is required.

Compatibility. These kits come in multiple variants with matching connectors for Bambu Lab's different printer models.

Some filled materials contain particles that are close to, if not larger than, some of the smaller industry standard nozzle sizes, including up to 0.4mm. Attempting to print such materials through these nozzle sizes significantly increases the risk a jam. Please check your filament manufacturer’s datasheet for recommended minimum nozzle orifice diameter to ensure that the nozzle/hotend you choose is suitable for your use case.

Please note:

  • Whilst these Hotends are rated to 320°C this only applies to the X1E printer. The X1C, P1P, and P1S remain temperature limited to 300°C.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum printing temperature of DiamondBack Bambu Lab HotEnd?

These HotEnds are rated to 320°C, however, please note that the following machines are temperature limited to 300°C P1P/P1S/X1C.

Do I need to make any changes to the slicer profile after upgrading to DiamondBack Bambu Lab Hotend?

No, you can use your current slicer profiles.

Can you print High Flow with the DiamondBack Bambu Lab HotEnd?

The DiamondBack Bambu Lab Hotend is not a high flow HotEnd so you can expect to maintain the same print speed as your stock Bambu Lab HotEnd. It is intended for extreme abrasive resistance against materials like carbon fibre, glass fibre, ceramic and metal-filled filaments.

I have been waiting to buy the E3D Nozzle for around a year or so, but now that i have finally got it, it seems to make every print worse? i have tried different materials different print profiles, flow rates etc and it doesn't seem to work, is my nozzle faulty? i don't know but i will be contacting support soon. thank you for reading this.

Happy to Support DiamondBack and E3D

While wildly more expensive than the clones from china, I have had 0 issues with the official E3D DiamondBack hotend. I have printed PA6-CF, pla-cf, abs-gf, abs, marble pla, silk pla, pla, petg with this nozzle. Excellent. Cant wait to see what future PCD nozzles and hotends are made in the future. I would like to see a larger portion of the nozzle made from PCD for the better thermal properties, IE all PCD no brass.

Have tried multiple hot ends and none work as good as this one.
