Spring attachment

  • Attach the spring to the groove on the bottom of the Heatsink.

Heater core assembly

  • Attach the HeaterCore to the HeatSink and spring assembly.
  • A slight twisting motion may be required.

Nozzle installation

  • Screw the Nozzle into Heatsink, it should slide freely through the HeaterCore.
  • There is no need to use tools, this step should be done using your hands only. Hot-tightening NOT required.
  • This step should be completed with the HotEnd at 50°C and lower only!

Fan installation

  • Attach the fan and fan duct to the HeatSink.
  • Make sure the fan sticker is facing towards the HeatSink.

Collet installation

  • Insert collet and collet clip into the top of the HeatSink.

  • The colour of the HeaterCore thermistor wire has recently changed from white to blue. If your HeaterCore has a white thermistor cable. Please refer to the diagram below.

Wiring diagram

  • Attach the HotEnd extension cable.

Firmware/ Printer Config

Rep Rap

  • configure the temperature sensor to: Semitec 104-GT2 (used by E3D)
  • Set the maximum temperature to: 300

Marlin 2.0

  • Change: #define TEMP_SENSOR_0 1
  • To: #define TEMP_SENSOR_0 5
  • Change: #define HEATER_0_MAXTEMP 275 (your value may vary)
  • To: #define HEATER_0_MAXTEMP 300
  • Ensure: #define HEATER_0_MINTEMP 5
