1. If your machine has displayed a MAXTEMP or MINTEMP error, please check that all the connectors or wire splicing from the heater cores thermistor wire on the HotEnd side to the control board input are fully seated and stable.
2. Make sure you have the thermistor and heater connected the right way round
3. Check the crimps inside the Molex connectors? If you haven't provided adequate strain relief, the movement of the wires during print movements can open up the crimps. This results in fluctuating print temperatures as the pins from the extension wires will be loose and intermittently make contact. Using a tool such as needle nose tweezers close up the crimp by squeezing one side of crimp against the side of the molex connector inside wall. See pictures below:
4. Check the firmware type, and version installed on your machine (e.g., Marlin, RepRap or Klipper) and also confirm the thermistor type is correctly defined. If you are using a Prusa MK3 Revo edition make sure you are using the latest E3D variant of the firmware found on the Prusa Github.Further informationIf you are still having issues after these troubleshooting steps please provide as much of the following information so we can rectify your issue.
5. Approximately how many hours of print time was the product used before experiencing the issue?
6. (Optional) Please can you provide an image of the resistance reading from the Thermistor connector on the heater core with the multi-meter set to 200k ohms on a manual setting? Could you also provide the ambient room temperature when this measurement was taken?
